BIG TIMBER LODGE
Project Cost: $4,000,000.00
Square Footage: 5,500 Sq.Ft.
The Big Timber Lodge was designed to by the showpiece of The Lodges at Eagles Nest. One of the most unique and awe-inspiring mountain estates in all of The Blue Ridge Mountains, it is one of only a handful of original lodges created by the legendary designer/developer John Turchin at Eagles Nest. Perched at over 5,000 feet above sea level on a nearly 4 acre plateau, The Big Timber Lodge features rolling long-range mountain views for over 100 miles and 180 degree southern exposure from almost every part of the home. Framed by towering Pacific North evergreen logs harvested from British Columbia, the home was then infused with stones, Appalachian Poplar and other natural elements of North Carolina’s High Country. These natural elements are juxtaposed by elegant artwork, the most dramatic of which is the Dale Chihuly inspired chandelier in the Great Room. The dining room is surrounded by large windows on 3 sides looking out to the unobstructed views, giving the feeling one is dining in the clouds. Looking across at the world below from The Big Timber Lodge is a revelation of how beautiful it truly is!
